FEBRUARY,2018-I WANT TO SEE YOU THERE!
God
created the world and everything in it. He sent His only begotten son to come and
die for our sins.
John 3:16. Christ Jesus has been given authority both in heaven and
on earth. He is Lord and King. Matthew 28:18. He will judge us at the end of our
life on earth. On that fateful day, we shall all stand before His judgment seat
to give an account of the life we lived on earth Romans 14:13. How is my account
going to be? What about yours as well?
We
must be full of joy, knowing the fact that Christ died to save us and through Him
we have eternal life. It is pretty important to realize that the death of
Christ on the cross paved the way for us to have salvation. 1 Corinthians 15:1ff. He died, paved the way so that we may sit with Him on
His throne one day. I want to see you
there as well, where we shall rejoice in His presence.
Salvation
is the greatest gift ever given to man. It is indeed a priceless one. What will
a man gain if he /she chase after this world and its passing glories to the
detriment of his/her soul? Mark 8:6.Being on the track with God and working
out for our salvation with trembling and fear is the best thing we should do if
it has skipped our minds. Philippians 2:12
Having
known Christ, we must set our priorities right. Romans 8:6. We are called out from the world into
the kingdom of God and our minds must be like that of Christ. The world finds
pleasure in ungodly acts such as
fornication, adultery, hooliganism, jealousy, racism, hatred and selfishness.
I am lucky as you are also for knowing Christ, He cleanses our thoughts and
gives us a clear conscience to discern between what is right from what is nearly
right. Our entire lives must be pleasing before God. It must be centered on
His word. We ought to care more about our salvation than anything else. In
Christ, we get to learn things the world will never learn and cannot ever
learn. In His kingdom, we know the things we should spent our energy and
resources on-saving the lost
people(evangelism), teaching and admonishing fellow Christians, honoring God in
our marriages and relationships, loving the Christian
fellowship(edification),and offering helping hands to fellow Christians in
terms of their material needs(benevolence).
The
words in the songs and hymns we sing whenever we meet to worship are not just
words to be recited but we must always think over these words anytime we sing
these songs. These songs are full of words which serve as encouragement to us.
They teach, admonish and continuously stir us up. Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16.They help us place our focus on
Heaven.
Sin
do entangle us and separates from the love of God. In the journey of the
Israelites back to Canaan, we realize that when disobeyed God, He made their
enemies defeat them in war. Joshua 7; 1ff .God
is just and we will reward us according to our deeds. Galatians 6:7 He is impartial His
judgment.
The
love of God will be bestowed on us if we obey what He says we should doing in
the scriptures. We do sin sometimes against God but when we do, we must repent
of our evil ways and confess our sins before brethren and God will forgive us
of all our trespasses. The parable of the prodigal son. Luke 15:11-32
demonstrates the love God
has for His children. Galatians 3:27-“For all of you who were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ”. It should be our
collective desire to more like Christ each day, we must be ready to pursue the
path of holiness in our lives.1Peter 1:15.It behooves on us to subject ourselves
to self-examination to see if we are in the faith.2 Corinthians 13:1ff.
Heaven
is our ultimate home as Christians. Philippians 3:20.I am convinced all of us want to
be there when we stand before His throne for judgment. 2Corinthians 5:10, Romans 14:12. We
look forward to being in Heaven because this world is not our home for we are
passers-by.
My
friends in the Lord, I will like to see you on that fateful day in Heaven where
we shall all rejoice. But, for us to see each other in Heaven, We must take the
right decisions today. I have chosen the side of Joshua (Joshua 24:15). I do not know of you,
but, it is my prayer you will make the right choice .2 Chronicles 7:14-“ and My people
who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face
and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive
their sin and will heal their land.” Let us humble ourselves and seek the face of the Lord, in
this we have confidence-He will open the narrow gate for us to enter into His
rest when we stand before Him in judgment. In conclusion “And now I commend you to God and to the word of His
grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all
those who are sanctified.” I want to see you there! Stay tuned with
Jesus Christ. Happy new month!
