Life is full of choices is  a trustworthy statement. At every point in time, we have to take a decision or make a choice. Some of those choices include a choice to please God or man. Free will was given to man from the onset of time. We are free under every consideration to make choices or decisions but the question is― are these choices pleasing God or man? Many folks today are going superficial trying to please men to the neglect of the most important things in this life ( Fearing God and doing His Will - Ecclesiastes 12:12-14 ). Christians, God’s elect are becoming more like the Pharisees of our Lord’s times ( Matt 23:25;Matt.15:8 ). They outwardly appear to be kingdom minded but they are indeed ravenous wolves. Christians today are not inside-out with God. Men are seeking the praises of fellow men and not the glory of    King Jesus. Most Christians have read books about how excuses prevent us from becoming financial independent for instance, No more excuses, the power of self-discipline by Brian Tracy but I am not pretty sure if Christians have sought to think about how to devotedly do the work of God and eschew all forms of excuses or reasons they so call.   In personal work and discussions with folks, these are some of the excuses or reasons some of them always give for not measuring up to Christ’s standard. Now, read these from some of them. Unbeliever - “ I am busy now, I will get some ample time to study God’s word and to be a disciple of Christ. ”   College student - “ You know at this time that I am in school, I need to study to get good grades, so I will serve you and win souls for you when I   am done with school ”. In the dressing room, we always  look up  for how we look in the mirror ( in the literal sense ). We always want to appear neat, nice looking and smart to other people. We are conscious of how we dress up and that is the reason why we always stand in front of the dressing mirror to check ourselves up. In transport, the front mirrors of an automobile serves as a safety check. An automobile without front mirrors is likely to be a dead trap for the driver and his passengers. Safety is compromised without the front mirror. You cannot check out for obstacles and this could be deadly. Similarly, Christ is the mirror of the Christian. On March 27, 1977, two Boeing 747 passenger jets, KLM Flight 4805 and Pan Am Flight 1736, collided on the runway at Los Rodeos Airport (Now Tenerife North Airport), on the Spanish island of Tenerife, the Canary Islands killing 583 people. This has being the deadliest aviation accident so far. In fact, this was a sad incident that happened in the world in 1977.   I know homes were jeopardized, hearts were saddened, faith was put to the test and people had this question in their minds “ God, why did this happen to my …. ”.   I started thinking about this disaster and the ruins it caused and these questions kept blowing my mind: Did these people know that this flight was their flight into eternity? God created the world and everything in it. He sent His only begotten son to come and die for our sins. John 3:16 . Christ Jesus has been given authority both in heaven and on earth. He is Lord and King. Matthew 28:18 . He will judge us at the end of our life on earth. On that fateful day, we shall all stand before His judgment seat to give an account of the life we lived on earth Romans 14:13 . How is my account going to be? What about yours as well? We must be full of joy, knowing the fact that Christ died to save us and through Him we have eternal life. It is pretty important to realize that the death of Christ on the cross paved the way for us to have salvation. 1 Corinthians 15:1ff. He died, paved the way so that we may sit with Him on His throne one day. I want to see you there as well, where we shall rejoice in His presence. Salvation is the greatest gift ever given to man.                 In the termite colony, each individual has a specialized role to play to sustain ecological balance of their abode. The members of the termite colony includes the soldiers , the queen, the workers and the winged reproductives. Each member is equally important as another. What marvelous me is the fact that these tiny creatures, are so much passionate about their security. They have defenders who work to ensure the colony is secure and save. The soldiers (nasutes) have specialized jaws for biting as a means of defense.
